Start your birth plan today!
Your birth is as much about you as it is your baby. Birthlove Doulas provides judgment free physical and emotional support during labor, working with you to make your birth the most positive experience possible. It's like having a cheerleader, a therapist, and a mom all rolled into one. We're there for as long as you need us - holding your hand, whispering (or shouting) encouragement, helping you find the most comfortable position to keep things moving, walking through any necessary decisions that need to be made, helping you adapt if your birth plan changes, and crying tears of joy with you when your little one arrives.
They're letting me go home with a brand new baby?
Don't worry, we have you covered. We can come to you and answer all your questions, help you learn baby care, and, most magically of all, watch your new addition overnight so you can sleep. We can accommodate you whether you're breast or bottle feeding, in-room sleeping or using a nursery. However you want to do it, we're here to help. Rocking babies to sleep, swaddling, and helping new parents feel more comfortable are our specialties!
Using the highest degree of health guidelines and cleaning/sanitation procedures, we can encapsulate your placenta. We come to your home and turn your placenta into powder that we put in capsules. Anecdotal evidence shows an increase in mood stabilization, possibly enhanced milk production, and better bonding for moms who take advantage of placenta encapsulation
2 prenatal visits, up to 12 hours of in person labor support (additional hours available at $25/hr), one postpartum visit and 24/7 text/phone/email support starting when you sign your contract
Usually booked 10 hours a night; discounts for more than 5 nights
2 hour visits on two consecutive days to your house to dehydrate and encapsulate your placenta into pills

Doula is my second career. My first was a Strategic Planner for the Department of the Navy. Quite a career shift, to say the least.
Being a doula is my heart job. I am always honored to be allowed into such a precious and vulnerable time in a family's life. Being able to support moms and partners as they grow their families is a gift.
